Whistler, BC | A whole season for the arts! Arts Whistler and the cultural community are shining a spotlight on Whistler’s arts scene this fall with Fall for Arts. Whistler’s autumn season is rich with popular festivals, art markets, creative workshops, galleries and exhibit openings, local music, and movie nights – all of which make Whistler the vibrant and dynamic place it is. Fall for Arts kicked off on September 1st and runs through early December. Here’s what’s to come on the immediate horizon in November…

QUEST UNIVERSITY PRESENTS “THE NATURE OF VIRTUE”

WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN?: HEALING THE LEGACY OF RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS
On now – April | Location: Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre Between 1831 and 1969, residential schools operated in Canada through arrangements between the Government of Canada and the church. One common objective defined this period – the assimilation of Aboriginal children. This exhibit explores the history and legacy of Canada’s Residential School System through survivor stories, archival photographs, and documents curated by Iroquois artist, Jeff Thomas.
