Gastown’s Bauhaus Restaurant Sets Holiday Party Menus, Starts Taking Bookings

Vancouver, BC | The holiday season is fast approaching. What better way to celebrate than to host a party at Bauhaus Restaurant? Whether you are looking for an intimate space for fifteen friends or a beautiful venue for up to 100 guests, Bauhaus is the perfect choice for a festive gathering. This year, we’re offering two seasonally-crafted menus from Chef Stefan Hartmann, an exemplary wine list, bespoke cocktails, and a prime location in the heart of Vancouver’s trendy Gastown District.

Our Holiday Menus | During the holidays, we’re offering exceptional seasonal menus crafted by Chef Stefan Hartmann. Our Holiday Group Menu includes three or four courses featuring a choice between several delicious dishes: smoked mackerel, duck liver mousse, braised beef (with potato dumpling), skate wing, hazelnut cake, white chocolate parfait. Our Christmas Eve Menu features four courses with butter poached lobster, cod, braised beef, and nougat parfait. Finally, our New Year’s Eve Menu features five splendid courses: trout, mushroom consommé, turbot, beef tenderloin, and chocolate. What a way to kick off the new year!

Bauhaus Restaurant is at the cutting edge of fine dining, delivering innovating techniques, fresh flavours, and exceptional service to downtown Vancouver. Our menu, designed and prepared by world-renowned Michelin Star chef Stefan Hartmann, reflects a contemporary approach to German cuisine and brings a new style of dining to the Gastown district. Bauhaus uses local, organic, and fresh seasonal ingredients as inspiration for our five featured menus.

Bauhaus Restaurant is firmly embedded in the rich history of the Gastown district. The dining room is housed inside one of Vancouver’s most unique historic buildings, The Boulder Hotel, which was originally built in 1890. Over the last 100 years, the building has gone through many changes, from its early days as a saloon, to a bank, and, finally, a hotel. Led by Vancouver designer Andrea Greenway, we have designed the restaurant to work within this historic space, featuring a dining room, a large lounge area, and an open-concept kitchen.
