The GOODS from The Acorn
Vancouver, BC | On Friday, June 17, The Acorn is launching its new summer menu with the addition of six exciting dishes. The paté, aptly titled Sea, is an inspired take on the ocean floor, made from shiitake mushrooms, black garlic, smoked onion kelp sauce, “salt water”, and pickled sea greens. Other dishes include a tomato tart with fresh marinated gem tomatoes and basil macadamia nut cheese in an almond and hazelnut tart, and a rhubarb desert with house-made lavender ice cream and almond brittle. While certain finishing touches are still being made to perfect the new menu, the remaining items are for now strictly under wraps.
Additionally, Acorn’s Negroni Week cocktail Big Pink will be staying on the menu until the end of June based on popular demand. The cocktail was designed and created by Acorn bartender Aimée Corno and has been profiled by Campari as an outstanding variation on the classic Negroni. $1 of each drink sold is being donated to Battered Women’s Support Services.
