The GOODS from The Keefer Bar

Vancouver, BC | The arrival of Happy Hour has been nothing short of a resounding success for Vancouver, both for restaurants and patrons alike, and there is no better time to take advantage of them than now with the sun on its way back out for the summer. The Keefer Bar hasn’t wasted any time throwing its hat in the ring, offering 2 for 1 on all appetizers, $5 cocktails, beers, and whiskies while stretching that hour to two, from 5pm until 7pm.

Eating outside what some what consider to be “civilized hours” is never an issue in our neighbourhood, and with the arrival of great new restaurants like Juniper, Juke (coming summer 2016), and Kissa Tanto (any day now) adding to the impressive list of evening spots, it’s only going to get better, especially late at night. More patrons are sticking around to enjoy their late nights in Chinatown, and as a result there is a huge increase in guests looking for that midnight snack satisfaction. Late night food options has never been one of the Vancouver’s strong points. Between donair and pizza slices, there aren’t that many options for those wishing for a late night bite without cabbing across town to satisfy a hunger. All that is about to change in Chinatown.

Enter late night dim sum. The crew at Keefer have extended the kitchen hours over Friday and Saturday to 1am. They will be erving up their full menu all the way through. Long standing favourites like duck sliders, steam pork buns, shrimp dumplings, and lapsing pork tacos will be available through the night.

With patio hours extending, late night snacks extending, early bird happy hour specials arriving, and plenty of deals in between (did we mention half price bottles of bubbles on Mondays?), it’s time to get down to Keefer St. and enjoy some Chinatown summer nights.
