Amelie Garvin’s ‘Lover’ At The Untitled Art Space’s Anniversary Show

20160301_175539-1-1

It’s been a strong, busy first year for Lauren D. Zbarsky and her team at Untitled Art Space in Chinatown. The anniversary exhibition they’ve put together – The Untitled Show: Vol II – showcases a sprinkling of the artists they’ve worked with to date. The show has been extended until March 20th, with a closing party happening (tonight) this Friday, March 18th from 8pm till late. I was particularly excited to see new paintings by Amelia Garvin there. She’s an illustrator, painter and book media artist whose works capture her ideas of youth, the body and nostalgia. Smells like teen angst in the best way! I am a lover of her work entitled Lover. Its bold, gestural abstraction and striking colour palette leaves me wanting more. Put a dot on it before it’s gone!

Artist: Amelia Garvin. Piece: Lover | Acrylic on canvas 24″×33″ | Price: $500 | Gallery: Untitled Art Space
