Vancouver; the Empty Bowls Project is holding their inaugural event in Vancouver! The Empty Bowls project is an annual ceramics fundraiser done all over the world. Its main goal is to help those struggling with hunger in the local community.
On this one very special evening, donated bowls from some of Vancouver’s fantastic pottery artists are going to be up for sale by donation with all proceeds going towards Backpack Buddies, a great program that feeds over 400 kids in inner city schools each week. Expect decorative and functional and jazzy bowls, oh my! This is the perfect opportunity to pick up a present or two, or maybe a bowl for yourself. Oh, and did I mention it’s being held at Cartems at Main and 6th. Donut up!

Hi Folks!
Elly from Empty Bowls Vancouver here! Just a quick correction to the article, the pieces are all actually priced between $5-$20 so it’s not entirely pay what you can for any of the bowls, but you’ll definitely be able to pick something up and support the cause no matter what your budget is!
