The GOODS from Mamie Taylor’s
Vancouver, BC | Join Mamie Taylor’s Chef Tobias Grignon and server Dana Sharp for a down-home, country-style dinner and fundraiser on Monday, May 18 from 6pm til late.
The dynamic duo is hosting at the Chinatown resto to raise $2,000 each in order to be part of the third annual Aprons For Gloves charity boxing night on July 29. On that night, members of the city’s hospitality community will step into the ring to raise money and awareness for Aprons For Gloves, the Downtown Eastside non-profit that offers community outreach through boxing lessons for women and youth.
Come on down to Mamie Taylor’s (251 E. Georgia St.) on Monday, May 18 for a Southern Feast. $12 gets you a choice of BBQ pork shoulder or cornmeal fried rockfish with all the trimmings, cheddar corn bread, baked beans and more. Donated Central City Brewing Co. Red Racer IPA and Main Street Brewing, beer will be $4 a pint.
All proceeds from the food and beer, the 50/50 raffle and the silent auction will directly benefit Aprons For Gloves.
We can tell you right now, it’s gonna be a hit!

ABOUT MAMIE TAYLOR’S
Named after its signature cocktail—a Golden Age concoction of scotch, fresh lime juice, ginger beer and Angustora bitters— Mamie Taylor’s is an 85-seat regional American restaurant specializing in Southern comfort food with a contemporary twist.
At the vanguard of Chinatown’s new culinary scene, the relaxed and casual ambiance of exposed brick walls and kitschy Canadiana play into the neighbourhood’s up-and-coming charm.
We also have taxidermy. Lots of taxidermy.
