The GOODS for Siena

Vancouver, BC | Siena is looking for a General Manager. As General Manager of this 44 seat restaurant your duties will include managing day-to-day operations with a (very) hands-on approach; daily reports to the company bookkeeper; meeting or exceeding labour and COGS targets; inventory management, ordering of liquor and supplies for front-of-house; hiring, training and scheduling of servers and support staff; marketing and communications with an emphasis on social media; and enhance rapport with guests, et cetera. You should have 3-5 years minimum experience in a similar environment, as well as all the usual foodsafe/serving it right certifications. Just off busy “Granville Rise” on West 12th, the gently rustic Siena Trattoria yields a bounty of Italian and Mediterranean flavours, perfect before a show at the nearby Stanley Theatre, or after a day of shopping or gallery-hopping. The room, simply furnished and aglow in saffron and burnt siena tones, bustles with a lively local crowd. This very capable kitchen produces a constantly changing selections of modern and traditional regional dishes. On the menu: all-natural free-range meats, sustainable seafood, fresh house-made pasta, a wealth of small and shared plates and well-priced wines from Italy, Spain and Southern France.
