Vancouver, BC | Bella Wines Ltd. is pleased to announce the much anticipated opening of their “bubble” tasting room May 15th. Located at 4320 Gulch Road, the tasting room will be open seven days a week from 11am to 5pm, May through September and by appointment in the off season.
“As the only BC winery exclusively producing sparkling wines, we are excited to provide a tasting experience for traditional sparkling wine enthusiasts visiting the Naramata wine region,” says Jay Drysdale, winemaker and co-owner of Bella Wines. “To celebrate the opening of our Bella Bubble Room we have pulled some old vintages from library stock to not only promote the micro-climates of our grower style sparkling wines but to also showcase how they age,” concludes Drysdale.
Coinciding with the Bella Bubble Room opening is Bella’s release of Western Canada’s only natural ancestrale sparkling wine: Bella 2014 Methode Ancestrale Sparkling Rosé.
Traditional sparkling wine implies a second fermentation happens in the bottle to produce bubbles in still wine. With methode ancestrale its about capturing all of its effervescence from the first fermentation. What makes Bella’s Ancestrale sparkling wine unique is that it was crafted without the use of commercial yeasts or additives, without the use of sulphur and the grapes came from a certified organic vineyard. Bella’s Ancestrale sparkling wine is one of the few natural sparkling wines made in Canada.
