“Dockside” Sharpening Knives For A Special Thanksgiving Feast This Weekend

Dockside Restaurant is located at 1253 Johnston St. in Vancouver BC | 604-685-7070 | docksidebrewing.com

The GOODS from Dockside

Vancouver, BC | Thanksgiving traditionally means gathering together around a turkey feast with friends and family, but it doesn’t have to mean cooking that feast. This year, Dockside’s culinary team is again offering a made-from-scratch Thanksgiving dinner so that guests can enjoy all the celebration without any of the preparation.

The three-course Thanksgiving menu is built around fresh local turkey, and includes seasonal flavours like Squash & Lobster Bisque, Glazed Yams, Apricot Stuffing and a Pumpkin Tart. The dinner can be enjoyed as a table d’hôte with available wine pairings (for an additional charge) or a là carte.

This special menu will be served at dinner daily from Saturday, October 11 until Monday, October 13. Call 604-685-7070 or click here to reserve. Full menu after the jump…

About Dockside

The Dockside Restaurant offers superbly prepared classic dishes in a setting like no other. Located on the waterfront where Granville Island faces the city, guests can enjoy panoramic views across False Creek to the world-famous cityscape of Yaletown and beyond to the mountains of the North Shore.

The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. The award-winning patio catches sunlight from morning to late afternoon. Protected on three sides it’s an oasis of calm, disturbed only by the occasional sound of boats making their way along False Creek. Recent renovations have added fireplaces and casual seating areas to this Vancouver destination.

These three venues offer seating options that are perfect for groups from 4 to 200. With signature elements like a 50-foot aquarium and an open kitchen, each meal is an experience for all the senses. Located adjacent to the boutique Granville Island Hotel, the Dockside Restaurant is open seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended.

Reviews

“This is our very favorite place. We drive into town from Delta and make an evening of browsing through Granville Isl. Market. The restaurnat is perfect for a quiet evening.View is wonderful. I appreciate the spacious arrangement of the tables. We have our favorite table, the staff and service is fabulous. I had the herb crusted Halibut – it was delicious and my husband enjoyed the slate fish. It was a memorable evening. We look forward to another visist very soon. As well, we have enjoyed the great patio – has to be one of Vancouver’s best.” OpenTable.com

“We have going to Vancouver for many years and most recently (if twenty years can be considered recently) staying exclusively at the wonderful Graville Island Hotel. Because we have an aversion to hotel restaurants, this is the first time we have had dinner there. It was one of the finest dinners we have in a city that is known for its fine restaurants. Outstanding in every way!” OpenTable.com

“We enjoyed the welcoming feel of the restaurant – appropriate lighting, comfortable seating – it is like a comfortable dining room. We will return again as the restaurant has once again met our expectations. The salmon was nicely prepared and the lamb was well presented and excellent on the tongue. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.” OpenTable.com
