The GOODS from Maenam
Vancouver, BC | What better way to celebrate Vancouver’s diversity than with German wine and Thai cuisine on Chinese New Year? On February 10th, guests are invited to an intimate evening that sees Chef Angus An’s Thai cuisine paired with wines from Selbach-Oster Riesling vineyards. Guests enjoy a chat with sommelier Kurtis Kolt and winemaker Johannes Selbach during this one-night-only multi-course meal. Get all the details and read the menu after the jump…
Since 1660 the Selbach-Oster family has owned 49 acres of vineyards on Germany’s Mosel River. Techniques for handcrafting the family’s Riesling wines have been passed down over several generations to current owner and winemaker Johannes Selbach. Estate vines are carefully pruned and harvested by hand on the steep slopes of the river before being fermented in traditional oak barrels. The result is award-winning wines, known for their complexity, intense mineral quality and crisp finish.
To celebrate Chinese New Year, tickets to this special evening are offered at a lucky $88.88. Only 14 guests will toast their good fortune over a glass of Selbach-Oster, so early ticket purchase is recommended.
