The GOODS from Campagnolo Roma
Vancouver, BC | Restauranteurs Tom Doughty and Robert Belcham and Executive Chef Ted Anderson have been working to transform their entire restaurant family (Campagnolo Restaurant, Fat Dragon Bar-B-Q and Campagnolo ROMA) into environmentally friendly, zero waste businesses (the goal of a zero waste business is to eliminate landfill garbage which creates harmful greenhouse gases). Campagnolo ROMA is the first of the three restaurants to complete the transition and has been enrolled in the Recycle – Now! Total Solution program since opening day. Recycle-Now! is assisting Campagnolo ROMA to create zero waste. All waste products created by the restaurant are recycled for reuse. All paper, cardboard, soft and hard plastics, glass and plastic containers are recycled; even food is recycled through composting and local soil production. Campagnolo ROMA Environmental Initiatives:
Paper Products – ROMA uses only recyclable and biodegradable take-out containers, cutlery and paper towels. All paper used in house is made of 100% recycled material. Eliminated waste by 100% – There is no dumpster onsite; only containers for separating plastics, paper, glass and organics.
Nose to Tail Philosophy – All butchery is done in house allowing the kitchen to use everything from the animal. All trim, bones and offal are used in stocks, broths, gravy, salumi and staff meals.

Roma is a walk-in only restaurant serving dinner seven days a week from 5pm – 10pm and lunch Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30am – 2:30pm, with brunch offerings on the weekend.

About Campagnolo ROMA
Campagnolo ROMA is located in the former Italian district of Hastings Sunrise, serving rustic Italian dishes inspired by the classics of Rome. Chef de Cuisine, Ted Anderson has created a condensed menu of antipasti, pasta and pizza complimented by an ever changing features board, showcasing local and seasonal ingredients. Quality, value and flavour drive the cocktail and wine program. Owner, Tom Doughty has chosen three classic Italian cocktails and a small, yet comprehensive Italian wine list with by the glass, ½ litre and bottle options to compliment Chef Ted’s menu. The room is an intimate 1200 square feet and is adorned with the familiar & eclectic, including damask wallpaper, a touch of lace, wood paneling and a few of Nona’s lampshades.
