Vancouver, BC | After a successful “Season One”, and closing celebration for Bittered Sling Bistro this past Monday, we’re back with “Season Two”! Focusing on more luxury spirits this round, we are pleased to announce that our season opener on May 9th will be with Don Julio Tequila and Jay Jones from Market by Jean-Georges and the Shangri-La Hotel. Hors d’Oeuvres:

Pacific ceviche, rhubarb vinegar, habanero jam
Duck egg tortilla, smoked duck breast, spicy potato chips
Plated Dinner:

Spot prawns, stinging nettle pesto, watercress, spiced red lentil-Meyer lemon-Don Julio Reposado Tequila dressing

Pressed pork, Mayacoba beans, smokey vegetable broth, crispy ramps

Rhubarb confit, coconut panna cotta, green cardamom rhubarb cracker

Location – Legacy Liquor Store
Time – 7:00pm – 9:30pm
Date – Wednesdays, bi-weekly

Schedule – Spirit and host bartender schedule will be online through Kale & Nori and the Legacy Liquor Store events page. This program runs from May – October 2012 twice monthly on Wednesdays

Prizes – each host bartender receives a prize to participate; each host bartender is eligible to win one of four spots in the finals (one night), November 2012. Grand prize for winning host bartender will be announced in November 2012.
