Vancouver, BC | During the Christmas season, Granville Island hosts Vancouver’s best celebration of the Yuletide spirit with musicians regularly playing in several different locations and appearances from the Gingerbread Boy spreading mischief around the Island. On Christmas Day itself, the Dockside Restaurant at the Granville Island Hotel brings the celebration of the season to a climax with two great festive traditions: Christmas Day Brunch and a spectacular Christmas Dinner, each of which provides a welcoming and scenic place to gather together in the Christmas spirit and enjoy great food without any cooking or cleanup.

Christmas Day Brunch has become one of the signature events of the year at Dockside. It’s a great way to enjoy the day with family or friends after opening gifts on Christmas Eve or morning. A packed house is expected again for this festive tradition which combines a full buffet featuring a mouth watering range of homemade baked goods, salads, entrées, fresh-made omelettes and Belgian waffles along with desserts. The buffet is served 10am-3pm and costs $54.95 per person or $24.95 for kids (6-12). As space is limited, reservations are required for this great tradition.

If the plan on Christmas Day calls for a delicious Christmas dinner without spending hours in the kitchen, then Dockside’s Festive Traditions Christmas Buffet, offered from 5-8:30pm, is perfect. With traditional entrée choices of turkey or ham alongside an Oceanwise salmon option, everyone in the family will find something to their liking. Dinner is $64.95 per person ($29.95 for kids 6-12) and reservations are required.

The Granville Island Hotel has been a destination for New Years Eve celebrations for over 20 years. Just a few minutes from downtown, the unbeatable waterfront location provides a great escape from the City with outstanding views and entertainment. Again this year, the Cityscapes New Year’s Eve celebration includes multiple rooms of entertainment, dining options and packages that include rooms for the ultimate getaway in the City.
