The just finished Jiaozhou Bay Bridge in China is 26.4 miles long, making it the world’s longest sea bridge ever made. The pillared span, which took 10,000 workers toiling around the clock for four years to build, connects the coastal city of Qingdao with two evidently-not-so-nearby islands. Big deal.
