Five Reasons Why Pigs Are More Awesome Than Lowly You And I

Berkshire pork was the Ingredient of the Year at the 2009 Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards. In writing the companion piece for the magazine, I got to speaking to Dirk Keller over at Sloping Hill Farm, who supplies Vancouver restaurants with much of their finest swine. When I had all the info I thought I required over the phone and made to bid adieu, he started again on his pigs’ different personalities, going off on how clever they were. The one quote from him that I really liked was this: “any reference to a person as a ‘pig’ is an insult to pigs”. I honestly thought he’d been at the trough a little too long, but after reading (and laughing at) this post over at The Oatmeal today, I don’t doubt him at all (via Presurfer).

PS. I realise the length of time one’s orgasm lasts doesn’t measure one’s intelligence, but…c’mon…30 minutes?
