Local bartenders will be competing at The Refinery on Granville St. today to see who can come up with the cocktail that best incorporates Whistler Brewing Company’s five different beers. Full details after the jump…From the relevant email:

ATTENTION MIXOLOGISTS:

1. The cocktail must incorporate 1 of the 5 fantastic beers from Whistler Brewing Company

2. Each participant will receive a 5-pack of different beers to experiment with

3. The day of the competition, each participant will create their cocktail LIVE from behind THE REFINERY wood.

4. Each participant will be required to bring their own ingredients – beer is provided!

The Refinery is normally closed on Mondays, so let’s party! General Manager Lauren Mote & the bar team will be serving up a special Whistler Brewing Company beer cocktail list, and Chef Michael Carter will provide delicious canapes created to suit each of the 5 Whistler beers. Bring as many people as you like to join in the fun!

The full REFINERY menu will be available after 6:00p, as well as the full wine and cocktail list.

DJ Junior Dekker will be spinning the hottest hip-hop and reggae all night!
