About Sage Hills Estate Winery & Vineyards

Sage Hills Estate Winery & Vineyards began to take shape in 2006 when our family, after an exhaustive two-year search for the perfect grape-growing land (that included parts of Washington, Oregon, the Gulf Islands and the eastern shore of Vancouver Island) bought the 11-acre Dickinson Farm in Summerland, BC. We began to build our home and reshape the old peach, plum and apricot orchard into our breathtaking organic vineyard, with sweeping views of Okanagan Lake, planting Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.

Today we consider ourselves stewards of the land we grow our grapes on. With our unwavering commitment to organic viticulture and groundwater preservation, Sage Hills wines have a minimal impact on the surrounding environment which we hope to pass on to future generations. This passion for sustainability can be seen when visiting Sage Hills Estate Winery & Vineyards by the rolling hills of sage surrounding the property along with the abundant wild flowers and native grasses growing amongst the vines.

With several vintages behind us we are now recognized as one of the Okanagan’s premium, small-lot wineries producing wines from 100% organically grown, Salmon-Safe certified grapes.

A true family owned and operated winery and vineyard it is not uncommon to see Rick, The Head Weed Picker, and his sons either out tending to the vines or in the winery. So be sure to pay us a visit next time you plan a trip to the Okanagan as we are always excited to share a story or two over a glass of our wine with visitors.
