ABOUT NIMMO BAY WILDERNESS RESORT

Nimmo Bay Wilderness Resort is an intimate family-owned and operated resort located in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia, on Canada’s rugged west coast. The remote location and tailored itineraries provide guests with extraordinary wilderness and wildlife experiences by land, water and sky. Accessible by floatplane or helicopter, Nimmo Bay offers couples, families, friends and small groups the opportunity to slow down to the rhythms of nature, while connecting with each other and the natural world around them.

The resort, tucked away at the base of 5,000-foot Mount Stephens, has grown over the years to nine spacious-yet-cozy cabins, all carefully constructed with the surrounding environment and the comfort of guests in mind. Running through the heart of the resort is a beautiful, cascading waterfall supplying both clean drinking water and green energy.

Discover the magnificence of the Great Bear Rainforest, with abundant wildlife and pristine landscapes from the lush rainforest and river valleys all the way up to heavenly mountaintops and 10,000-year-old glaciers. An array of adventures and daily activities offer guests access to 50,000-square-miles of untouched wilderness. Whether watching black bears from a kayak, exploring the Broughton Archipelago on the look-out for whales, heli-hiking along mountain ridges, paddle boarding on glacial lakes, fishing for wild Pacific salmon, or learning about the local First Nations culture, the options are plenty.

Complement your day with fresh flavours and local ingredients from both land and sea, along with the best in B.C. wines, a selection of beers, and a fully stocked bar. From a hearty, nourishing breakfast in the floating lodge to a picnic lunch served amongst a breathtaking backdrop to cocktails on the fire dock followed by a gourmet coastal-inspired meal, the food at Nimmo Bay has always been as important as the adventures on offer.

At the lodge, guests can unwind with a soak in the hot tub next to the waterfall, relax with a massage or yoga class, and enjoy an evening of music, story-telling, and laughter around the fire as the stars come out – this is how the wilderness should be experienced.
