Vancouver, BC | Mother’s Day brunch is a ritual for many families and this Sunday, May 13th Two Chefs and a Table will offer its brunch three different ways in two cities to allow the widest ranges of moms to enjoy its wildly popular made-from-scratch classics. Along with a traditional Two Chefs brunch in their Gastown bistro, Mother’s Day will also see the return of the pop-up brunch at Cork & Fin and the first-ever brunch service offered at Two Chefs Richmond.

Requests for brunch have been a constant since Two Chefs Richmond opened last August and this Mother’s Day, those requests will be answered with a full à la carte service of Two Chefs and a Table brunch classics like Monsieur Andre’s breakfast, Big Lou’s Breakfast and a range of Hashes and Benedicts. Brunch in Richmond will be served from 9am-2pm and reservations can be made by calling 604-233-7769.

Mother’s Day will also see the return of the Two Chefs/Cork & Fin pop-up brunch in Cork & Fin’s gorgeous Maple Tree Square room. The most popular items from the last pop-up like Crab Benny, Shrimp & Grits and Short Rib Hash will be carried over alongside some brand-new seafood-themed brunch creations. Brunch is $24.50pp including fresh pastries, a Mimosa and choice of brunch entrée. Reservations can be made by calling 604-569-2215 or at corkandfin.ca.

Vancouver, BC | Two Chefs and a Table’s popular Wine Drinker Dinner series returns Wednesday, April 18th with a five-course dinner featuring the wines of Siren’s Call, the outstanding new collection of super-premium BC wines created by winemaker Mark Simpson, one of BC’s most experienced consulting winemakers.

In creating Siren’s Call, Simpson journeyed thousands of kilometres across the length and breadth of BC’s grape-growing regions meeting growers, tasting grapes and hand-selecting the best to be used in creating Siren’s Call. Each Siren’s Call variety lists the origin vineyard on the label, grounding and connecting each to its terroirs.

Having already worked closely with the entire collection while catering the Siren’s Call launch event at The Cultch, the opportunity to dig deeper into the pairing possibilities was very exciting for the Two Chefs team. The outstanding five-course menu that has been specially-created for the dinner will feature superb local ingredients, expertly and creatively prepared to match the wine selections for the evening. Vancouver, BC | This year, Two Chefs and a Table is offering two great ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day: a four-course menu in the Founders Lounge at the Cultch or a five-course themed feast in the Two Chefs’ Gastown bistro. The Founders Lounge is offering two seatings for the special Valentine’s dinner, a pre-show seating beginning between 5:30 and 6:15 which will have guests finished and ready to enjoy Nina Arsenault’s critically acclaimed “The Silicone Diaries” at 8pm. The second seating will begin between 8:15 and 8:45pm. Either way, the cozy surroundings of the Founders Lounge offer a perfect place for an intimate dinner highlighted by classic entrees from the romance countries: the classic Italian Salmon Aqua Pazza and the Coq au Vin, a signature of French cuisine. Feast Van runs from January 20th to February 5th and $1 from each Feast Van meal will be donated to the Vancouver Inner City Food Backpack program which supplies disadvantaged youth with weekly food supplies to supplement existing school programs. DINER: The 1st Annual “FeastVan” Dining Fest Gearing Up To Help Local Kids In Need

Here’s an early heads-up on FeastVan, a brand new, 17 day dining event involving many of the best restaurants of East Vancouver. Help us spread the word far and wide, because from January 20th to February 5th, local foodies and visitors will be invited to enjoy a selection of specially priced three-course meals from Au Petit Chavignol, Red Wagon, Campagnolo Roma, Cafeteria, El Barrio, Les Faux Bourgeois, Two Chefs & A Table, Founders’ Lounge at The Cultch, Fray, and The Waldorf Hotel. We haven’t seen the menus yet, but that sure looks like a tasty line-up!

The participating restaurants will donate $1 to the Vancouver Inner-City Backpack Food Program for every special meal sold. The awesome organisation, which serves the children of Strathcona and the DTES, aims to “bridge the weekend gaps when school food programs are not running” (and is pretty much a breeding ground for saints). Also signed on are the good folks at R&B Brewing, who will be donating a percentage of every delicious keg of East Side Bitter sold during the event. Les Amis du Fromage will do the same for every sale of its kickass macaroni and cheese.

Most obviously, our family has grown over the year with the opening of two new shops: Big Lou’s Butcher Shop and Two Chefs Richmond, along with our exciting partnership with The Cultch to manage all food and beverage operations at The Founders Lounge. Through these new ventures, we’ve been able to bring more great people into our team and offer our food to many more people on a daily basis. DINER: “Two Chefs” Take Over The Eats At The Cultch And Launch “Founders’ Lounge”

The triumvirate behind Two Chefs And A Table in Richmond have taken over the food and beverage program at the Vancouver East Cultural Center (aka The Cultch) on Venables. The venue has a liquor primary license and sports a 38 seat wine bar – dubbed Founders’ Lounge – with some 12-14 small to medium items of comfort food. They’ll also be serving the rest of The Cultch’s event space, including the 102 seat Vancity Culture Lab (all told, 280 seats). Former Boneta staffer Rodney Scharf is taking on the key managerial role. Here are some shots that we took during renovations:
