Oliver, BC | Start the morning of May 5th right with a decadent Bubble Breakfast. Guests will tour the Sparkling Wine Cave and learn about crafting wine in the Traditional Champagne method. At the end of the tour, enjoy a delicious breakfast paired with our award-winning Sparkling Chenin Blanc (orange juice optional). This experience is limited to 36 people and sells out fast. The cost is $45 per person, and the start time is 9am sharp (until 10:30am). What’s more, our Summer Dinner Series is back from May through October! Join Road 13 Vineyards on the 13th of each month as tribute is paid to current and past vintages. These will be paired with sumptuous four-course dinners supplied by the folks at Joy Road Catering, who are just as obsessed with the source of their product as we are! We may be “All About the Dirt,” but Joy Road is “All About Cuisine du Terroir.” No idea what that means? Let us translate: “INCREDIBLY GOOD FOOD.” Sometimes it’s all about the celebration! For one night only, however, Joy Road Catering & Road 13 Vineyards are bringing a warm BC wine country evening to the heart of the city at Vancouver Urban Winery.
The Country In The City dinner on Wednesday, April 3 2013 offers guests a four-course dinner paired with stellar wines for a unique taste of the Okanagan. The wines will include an array of Road 13 Vineyards’ more exclusive labels, such as Sparkling Chenin Blanc (45-year-old vines), Syrah-Malbec blend and the Fleet Road Pinot Noir from Naramata. Members of the team from Road 13 Vineyards will attend the event and introduce their wines.
The wines will be paired with courses prepared by the Okanagan’s Joy Road Catering. Oliver, BC | British Columbia’s Road 13 Winery is joining forces with Vancouver’s iconic Save On Meats to present “The Farmer And The Pig” – a three-course dinner celebrating BC wine and diner classics, to benefit A Better Life Foundation in support of Downtown Eastside social initiatives. At 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 5th, join Mick Luckhurst of Oliver’s Road 13 Winery (the ‘farmer’) as he shares an assortment of wines illustrating their perfect pairing potential with the homespun, diner fare of Save On Meats (the ‘pig’). A casual evening where guests will not only enjoy the wines, stories and anecdotes behind one of BC’s most-awarded wineries, but get the opportunity to taste an exclusive barrel sample from an upcoming release Mick’s bringing along as well. All proceeds from the dinner will be going to A Better Life Foundation, the charity created by Mark Brand of Save On Meats. Joining the popular Honest John’s Red and White and the premium Fifth Element, are Stemwinder, a refreshing white blend (CSPC $21.99) named in honour of the soil of the winery’s home vineyard, and Rockpile, a red blend (CSPC $24.99) named after Mick and Pam Luckhurst’s most difficult vineyard. About Road 13
Road 13 is the location of our winery and two of our vineyard sites: the Home and the Castle. Our land was first cultivated in the early 1920s, when BC premier Honest John Oliver turned the area into rich farmland by constructing an irrigation canal from Okanagan Falls.
Our terroir-driven wines are offered in three distinct tiers: a red blend and a white blend call Honest John’s, a varietal series of red and white wines under the Road 13 label, and a premium tier of small lots and blends named Jackpot.

Honest John’s Red and White
Our blended red and white wines are a tribute to “Honest” John Oliver, BC Premier from 1918 to 1927. Honest John epitomized British Columbians’ pioneering values: hard work, self-reliance, dependability and neighbourliness. His greatest achievement was the construction of the irrigation canal that transformed the Golden Mile into outstanding farmland.

The Jackpot Lineup
Southern BC is home to hundreds of old gold mines with names that acknowledge the region’s past exploration. One, called Jackpot, inspired us. Evoking the joy of winning a hard-earned prize, it is a fitting title for our top wines – the reward for our hard work in the vineyard and cellar.
