A Sneak Peek at VPL’s New Expansion, Which Includes an Awesome Rooftop Patio

I checked out the Vancouver Public Library’s central library expansion with other members of the media earlier this morning. With the sun shining and autumn colours out, it was the perfect day for the highly anticipated reveal.

Due to be open to the public this Saturday, September 29th at 10am, the renovations have given the two top floors of the institution a major overhaul. The expansion includes community gathering spaces and meeting rooms with killer views, plus exhibition spaces, an 80 seat theatre, a reading room, and – arguably the star of it all – a large and totally accessible rooftop garden.
