Check Out Hester Creek Estate Winery’s Line-Up of Autumn Events

The Goods from Hester Creek

Oliver, BC | With autumn upon us this week, we are excited to announce our fall lineup of events.

Vines, like fine wines improve with age. Join us as we celebrate 50 years of premium grape growing and taste the difference a half-century makes to a vine. In honour of the 1968 planting of our vines, our winemaker Mark Hopley is holding an Old Vines Seminar and tasting on September 28. He will lead a tasting of old vine wines that illustrates the amazing concentration and flavour intensity they have to offer.

Also for the first weekend of the Fall Okanagan Wine Festival, join us in celebrating a taste filled day with our 7th annual Garlic Festival. We are hosting local garlic growers and artisan crafters, along with delicious food carts, and live entertainment by a number of Okanagan musicians. A family-friendly event, this is a fundraiser in support of the Oliver Elementary School Farm to Table lunch program. Admission is by donation to the charity with the festival running on Saturday, September 29th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our golden anniversary festivities continue around the province with a series of celebratory multicourse wine and food pairing dinners. The first is in Prince George at North 54 Restaurant with winemaker Mark Hopley on November 2. Shortly thereafter, at Cornucopia in Whistler with Our Roots Run Deep Winemaker Dinner at Caramba Restaurant is with Hester Creek’s President Mark Sheridan on November 15.

Our fall culinary classes are unfortunately almost entirely sold out, however more will be added later in the year.

Please check our events page for a full listing of upcoming activities.
