Vancouver, BC | Gotham Steakhouse & Bar is pleased to announce that Sommelier Sam Jonnery has added the title “Assistant General Manager” to his business card. Sam will work closely with GM Ben MacMaster and the entire Gotham team to lead the iconic restaurant into its third decade as Vancouver’s most awarded steakhouse.

Sam’s attention to detail, exceptional service standards and dry French wit have made him a standout on the floor. But those who turn to him for his wine expertise need not worry. He will still direct the wine program and be ready with all the unique finds, boutique bottles and bold labels that continue to win awards of distinction.

After gaining ISG and WSET certification, and having spent half a decade leading the exceptional wine programs at Il Divino and Le Crocodile, Sam joined Gotham Steakhouse in 2015. Since assuming leadership of the much-lauded wine program, Sam has applied his education, experience, and passion to curate a cellar which regularly includes up to 500 labels. This depth of choice, along with regular training and development of a mature, professional serving team, has made Gotham a landmark for wine lovers in the Vancouver dining scene.
