The GOODS from YVR Prep
Burnaby, BC | It’s been a long time coming…but for fans of Burnaby’s Dageraad Brewing (dageraadbrewing.com) — there’s now even more reason to enjoy its fine array of Belgian-inspired brews.
This summer the Brewery, 2018 Brewery of the Year by Canadian Brewing Awards, tapped YVR Prep (yvrprep.com) commissary kitchen to develop an artisan sandwich program to help enhance the guest experience in their 50-seat tasting room near Production Way Skytrain Station.
Prior to working with YVR Prep, Dageraad was offering little more than bar nuts and other simple snacks to its patrons. Sadly, that meant that customers’ time in the tasting room was often cut short due to hunger. “We do not have kitchen facilities on premise, so we’re limited in our ability to offer any real type of food to our customers,” admits Dageraad founder Ben Coli. “But as soon as we found out that YVR Prep had opened up in our neighbourhood, we immediately knew they were our answer.”
Prep chefs and co-owners Ryan Mackay and Josh McWilliams went to work. Together they created a selection of deli-style sandwiches to pair nicely with all the great brews that Dageraad had to offer.
Whether you’re enjoying their famed Burnabarian session ale or their refreshing Lake City farmhouse ale, YVR Prep’s culinary creations have your taste buds covered. The menu includes: salami-swiss on a pretzel bun, and ham-swiss, prosciutto-havarti , or antipasto-swiss on French baguette. Soft hand-rolled pretzels and a spiced pretzel bar mix round out the current offerings.
“The feedback has been very positive thus far. Visitors to the Brewery are thrilled with what’s on their menu,” says Mackay.
Dageraad’s tasting room opens daily from 12pm Monday to Thursday, and from 11am Friday to Sunday. YVR Prep is Metro Vancouver’s premier commissary kitchen and food hub. We provide affordable, clean, and accessible food manufacturing facilities for rent to small producers.
