Chinatown’s Juniper Kitchen & Bar Serving Up Summer Goodness on New Menu

The GOODS from JUNIPER

Vancouver, BC | Juniper Kitchen & Bar is a Cascadian-inspired restaurant with a strong focus on locally-sourced ingredients. Juniper strives to use as much as possible seasonal local providers from the Vancouver area and the wider Cascadian region.

For the new 2018 Summer Menu launched this August, Executive Chef Warren wanted to highlight the ingredients provided by local farmers in a simple but delicious way. An example of this is the hay aged duck breast dish. The duck comes from the Yarrow Meadows Farm, a third-generation family farm that raises specialty bird right here in the Fraser Valley.

The dishes also incorporate wild foods that are foraged in BC during the Summer, such as garlic scapes and mushrooms. Chef Warren Chow wanted each dish to bring out the freshness of the Summer season and let the ingredients speak for themselves. He also created some plant-based dishes such as brussels sprouts with cashew “cheese” and potato gnocchi.

The Summer menu will be available until the end of September.
