Long Table ‘Dinner on the Pier’ Goes Down in North Van on August 9th

North Vancouver’s spectacular (and charitable) Dinner on the Pier is set for August 9th. This year’s dinner involves a bunch of talented people, including The Juicery Co. founder Alex Troll and Chef Joel Green of The Pinnacle at the Pier Hotel. The evening event begins with a cocktail reception and is followed by a four course long table meal created by Green. It’s all served with beer and wine al fresco under the lights on the pier. (Check out the draft menu below.) It culminates in a celebratory evening of live music and other entertainments, including a photo booth to commemorate the summertime experience.

At $158-168 per seat, this is definitely a splurge, albeit a justifiable one (not least of all since partial proceeds from ticket sales are being donated to Growing Chefs, our favourite local culinary program for kiddies). Make the most of the last days of summer before the weather becomes uncooperative by getting your tickets to this likely memorable event here.

Hit East Van for the 2nd Annual Vancouver Brewers Fest, April 19-28th

Since a single person (and liver) can only handle so many beers and beer-drinking celebrations, some prioritizing is in order. Topping off our list of events is the imminent (and, in our opinion, non-negotiable) Vancouver Brewers Fest.
