Edible Canada and Strange Fellows Pair Up For Craft Beer Dinner on June 27

The GOODS from Edible Canada

Vancouver, BC | For us, summertime in Vancouver means indulging in the best flavours that this beautiful season has to offer. There’s nothing better than dishes made with locally-sourced meat and seafood, fresh herbs and vegetables …. and of course – ice cold craft beers!

We are in love with Vancouver’s growing craft beer scene. This is why on June 27th, we are hosting a dinner focused on beer pairings with Strange Fellows Brewing, one of our favourite local breweries.

Our Culinary Director Tobias Grignon has designed a five-course menu to accompany the some of the brewery’s most exquisite and bold flavours:

Smoked albacore tuna meatballs, coriander, green olives, almonds
Popinjay

Grilled boudin noir, charred radicchio, Paul’s greens, nasturtium, shallot
Roxanne black raspberry grisette

Onion tart, fromage fraise, summer savory, lovage
Bayard Saison

Heritage pork with crackling, mole Verde, grilled radishes
Guardian White IPA

Burnt orange and buttermilk ice cream, walnut cake
Boris imperial stout

Strange Fellow’s beers are ‘inspired by tradition and creativity, and go beyond the ordinary to celebrate that which is strange and extraordinary.’ Their beer is made with the influence of ‘old world traditions and West coast ingenuity as well as by seasonal ingredients.’ Their commitment and detail to the art of brew mastery is a large part of why we adore their beers and why they will make an excellent accompaniment to Tobias’s dinner.
