Every Awesome Thing You Need to Know About Vancouver Craft Beer Week

The GOODS from VANCOUVER CRAFT BEER WEEK

Vancouver, BC | Now entering its ninth successful year, Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW) has become the most anticipated craft beer and cider festival in Western Canada. VCBW has evolved from Canada’s first-ever craft beer week into a cultural engine that showcases music, food, art, and craft beer at events across the city for 10 days starting the last Friday in every year. VCBW 2018 kicks off on Friday, May 25, continuing throughout the week and culminating at the historic PNE fairgrounds on Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3 where over 100 craft breweries and cideries will be pouring more than 300 beers and ciders. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit VancouverCraftBeerWeek.com.

VCBW 2018 Kickoff Party: East Van Crusher on Friday, May 25

Kicking off Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW) on May 25, 2018 at the Maritime Labour Centre located in the heart of one of East Vancouver’s biggest brewery districts, cans from more than twenty breweries will be cracked and crushed to the spectacle of one of the VCBW’s most revered events: Feats of Strength. Vancouver’s brewers have long been known for their ridiculous strength, and for their strength in the ridiculous. Watch brewers, cellarmen/women, barkeeps and plain ‘ol strong-folk compete in events like push-up competitions, The Growler tearing, keg stacking and so much more in this presentation of Copper & Theory’s Feats of Strength.

Join Vancouver Craft Beer Week for this unorthodox opening night celebration featuring an incredible array of canned beer including the official VCBW 2018 Collaboration Beer, the infamous Grant Lawrence opening the 10-day celebration with the cracking of the first can, live music from Alex Maher and Hebegebe, food from Bandidas Food Truck and the glory of Feats of Strength.
