Bells and Whistles to Christen New Patio with Launch Party on May 20

The GOODS from Bells and Whistles

Vancouver, BC | Here comes the sun — and with it, a new lineup of classic, Americana-roadside-inspired fare and signature drinks at Bells and Whistles, as well as a ‘Dip Into Summer’ Party over the Victoria Day long weekend to christen the new heated and licensed wrap-around patio.

On Sunday, May 20 from 2 to 7 p.m., the Bells and Whistles team invites friends, neighbours and beer lovers alike to join them in kicking off their first official summer season. The Fraserhood hotspot will be serving up drink features such as large-format ‘fishbowls’ of Pink Sangria (rosé, brandy, fresh citrus and berries) while special guest DJs The Super Amigos provide live entertainment.

Among the fresh spring additions to the food menu are Curry Fries, which are smothered in a heaping helping of the same Lamb Belly Rogan Josh recipe that earned Executive Chef Alessandro Vianello the win at the fifth annual Chef’s Table Society Curry Cup in March, Chowder Fries, The El Supremo Salad, and two new seasonal ice cream sundaes featuring Blueberry Soft Serve from Foothills Creamery.

Bells and Whistles will also bolster its lineup of ‘always-delicious, always-double’ libations by introducing the frozen, citrus-forward Thug Passion Slushy (Absolut vodka, maraschino liqueur, passionfruit, grapefruit, lime) that can also be added as an ‘iceberg’ to one of many rotating craft beers on tap for a refreshing, radler-style beverage, as well as Raspberry Lemonade that can be enjoyed in zero-proof form or spiked with Beefeater gin, Olmeca tequila, Southern Comfort or Bulleit rye.

On the suds side, the restaurant will give guests a new reason to hoist a pint with pals courtesy of unique local and import additions to its trademark ‘big board’ of 19 rotating taps including: Parkside Dim Wit Witbier; Occidental Hefeweizen; Strange Fellows Popinjay Sour; Four Winds Nectarous Sour; Luppolo Black Lime Gose; and Sierra Nevada Otra Vez Lime & Agave Gose-style Ale.
