Blue Grouse to Host NYC Composer & Island Chefs for Special Musical Feast

Cowichan Valley, BC | The concept of a Musical Feast is an elegant, enchanted evening in a beautiful west coast winery. We present a trio pairing of virtuoso music, farm-to-table food and exciting wine. This is one event that food and drink aficionados won’t want to miss.

In honour of celebrating the exquisite seasonal fare from land and sea, alongside heritage farms and award winning vineyards acclaimed author and local food icon, Chef Bill Jones of Deerholme Farm has teamed up with renowned New York City composer and pianist Misha Piatigorsky to host A Musical Feast – a magical and unique food, drink and arts experience taking place on May 20, 2018 at a landmark location – Blue Grouse Vineyards.

“A stunning location for an event we will create a long table dinner prepared by some of the islands best chefs and featuring the best of local ingredients. Highlights will include spit-roasted local lamb seasoned with Grand Fir needles and cooked over vine cuttings. Dishes will be served family style and paired with the delicious wines of Blue Grouse.” shares Chef Bill Jones, A Musical Feast’s main organizer. “Unique to the event, the pairings are not restricted to just great wines. Live music curated by Misha Piatigorsky will set the tone for the mindful food and drink pairings. The evening will offering a memorable selection of handcrafted music, food and local wine – designed to stimulate memories for a lifetime.

You can also help the community while having fun. A Musical Feast will also be making a donation to Nourish Cowichan on behalf of the event to provide healthy meals for needy students in the Cowichan Valley.
