Vancouver, BC | Winter is truly here and what better way to keep warm and celebrate the festive season than to wrap your hands round a bag of freshly-made popcorn (with real butter) in the cosy comfort of The Cinematheque?

Beginning December 22, The Cinematheque’s will showcase a special selection of much-loved film classics, all works of affecting beauty, all must-sees on the big screen. The selection includes Charlie Chaplin’s beloved City Lights, Wim Wenders’s art-house hit Paris, Texas, Marcel Camus’s intoxicating Black Orpheus, Akira Kurosawa’s sublime Ikiru (To Live), and Terrence Malick’s ravishing masterwork Days of Heaven.
