Holiday Magic with French-Inspired Panache from Thierry

The GOODs from Thierry

Vancouver, BC | Elevate your holiday entertaining this year with a little help from Maitre Chocolatier and Patissier Chef Thierry Busset. Once again, he’s crafted an exquisite line-up of delectable, seasonal creations at Thierry Cafe. From his handcrafted chocolates to his artisanal cakes and pastries, we invite you to make your holiday gift-giving and entertaining shopping list extra special — with a taste of France.

Chef Thierry’s exclusive collection of buches de noel returns with new tastes and festive touches for Holiday 2017. These French classics speak to the heritage of Chef Thierry’s native France and are a delight to behold. Offered in a variety of flavours, Chef Thierry brings back his signature ‘Chestnut’ with hazelnut sponge, bavaroise, and cream, adorned with chocolate ganache, candied chestnuts, and whimsical meringue mushrooms for a winter foraging treasure. For a dash of holiday glamour, try the ‘Chocolate Caramel Cadeaux’ that combines chocolate mousse, a crispy feuillantine base, soft caramel, and a spicy hazelnut cream centre all topped with a pretty chocolate bow. This year’s lineup also includes limited edition flavours like the ‘Pecan, Coconut, and Chocolate’ buche de noel, the ‘Fromage Blanc’ with lemon curd and raspberry gelee, and the piece de resistance — the citrusy ‘Blood Orange’ with yuzu, and white chocolate. Offered in a variety of sizes, prices range from $33.95 to $54.95 and are now available for advance order until December 22nd, with pick-up on December 23rd and 24th after 9 am. We encourage all our patrons to order in advance and to provide a 48-hour turnaround period for online orders ([email protected]) and a 24-hour processing time for in-person and call-in orders (604.608.6870).

Make the holidays extra sweet with seasonal Thierry treats. Available in-store from December 1st, Chef Thierry kicks off the holiday season with delicious creations like his individual and large-sized fruit-studded kugelhopf ($3.25 and $25.95) and kirsch-soaked, chocolate-dipped cherries ($2.50 each). His spiced tarts are a tantalizing delight with the richest winter fruit filling sandwiched between the flakiest of pastries. Can’t wait until December? Kugelhopfs and tarts are now available for order.

Add some additional flair to your festivities and holiday table with freshly-made macarons. Rich with buttercream layered between the airiest of meringue cookies, three new seasonal flavours like cranberry, gingerbread, and stollen make up the holiday collection. Priced at $2.50 each, these bite-sized palate-pleasers are sublime and too tasty to limit yourself to just one!

Chef Thierry’s signature chocolates, house-made jams, and petit fours are also available as individually packaged gifts or a collection of creations for the perfect Thierry gift basket. Choose from a selection of ready-made gift presentations, starting from $80.00, or customize your own.

Thierry Cafe is located at 1059 Alberni Street and is open from 7 am to midnight on weekdays and 8 am to midnight on weekends. For the holidays, Thierry Cafe will be closed on December 25th with modified hours on December 24th (open from 8 am to 5 pm), December 26th (open from 8 am to midnight), and December 31st (open from 8 am to 10 pm).
