‘Vans Park Series’ Set For This Weekend At Hastings Skatepark In East Van

image001

This Friday and Saturday the Vans Park Series takes over Vancouver’s world-renown and notorious Hastings Skatepark for their second annual all ages competition. International and local talent (including Vancouver’s own Adam Hopkins) will be vying for one of five spots to travel to Shanghai in September, where they’ll compete for the title of park terrain World Champion. In order to do this, skateboarders must conquer the concrete park’s variable design features and transitions (ranging from 5 to 10 feet in depth) with style, fluidity, speed, creativity and all-around radness. So head down to East Van this weekend to check out all the action. We’ll see you there!
