The GOODS from Ancora

Vancouver, BC | This summer, Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio toasts Canada’s 150th birthday with a special offer for diners. On July 1, the Ancora Glacier – a statuesque seafood tower that showcases the best of British Columbia’s backyard bounty – will be paired with a bottle of Dom Perignon Champagne, all for just $150 per person.

Diners are invited to settle in at Ancora’s coveted patio anytime between 2 and 5pm to indulge in the Canada 150 feature. Known as one of the most stunning seafood towers in the city, the Ancora Glacier will be stacked high with freshly shucked oysters, Peruvian mussel escabeche, causa (potato terrine topped with seafood), fresh ceviche and tartare, and a selection of sashimi. Designed for two to share, the dish comes served alongside a chilled bottle of Dom Perignon, creating for guests a truly idyllic afternoon. The regular dinner menu will also be available from 4pm onward on Canada Day.

Situated along a picturesque section of the False Creek seawall, Ancora is perfectly placed for revellers to enjoy a premium patio session before continuing the party at any of Vancouver’s many Canada Day festivities. English Bay and Sunset Beach, which will host all-day celebrations culminating in a nighttime fireworks display, are a scenic stroll down the seawall; alternatively, a quick ride on the water taxi – the dock is down the road from the restaurant – leads to free, all-ages fun on Granville Island. Guests can also choose to stay for dinner and taste their way through Ancora’s award-winning menu, which showcases West Coast ingredients infused with Latin and Asian flavours.

“Ancora’s prime location makes for the perfect spot to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday – you can’t beat spectacular water views, a sunny patio and the seawall just steps away,” said General Manager & Wine Director Andrea Vescovi. “The Canada 150 for $150 celebration is our way of providing diners with a special Canada Day memory at excellent value to mark this momentous occasion.”

The Canada Day feature is available on Saturday, July 1 from 2-5pm for $150 per person. Seating is limited and designed for two people, and advance bookings are required. To reserve, email info [at] ancoradining.com or call 604.681.1164.
