Vancouver, BC | With two years on the clock, the Truck Stop Concert Series at Red Truck Beer is already a can’t-miss Vancouver summer highlight, and it’s returning for a third year with three great shows in East Vancouver’s historic Brewery Creek neighbourhood. Once again, Red Truck will load up the all-day excitement of a music festival and drop it in the heart of Downtown Vancouver.

This year’s schedule will launch with a June 17th synth-pop show headlined by Australian legends Cut/Copy. Cut/Copy are a festival favourite who’ll be playing classics from albums like In Ghost Colours and Free Your Mind along with tracks from their upcoming album.

On July 15th , the country and Americana showcase takes over with Drake White and the Big Fire at the top of the poster. This Alabama-raised and Nashville-based singer came up the hard way, working in construction while he chased his music dreams. With a top-5 debut album and a series of sold-out shows under their belts, they’re sure to light up the concert series in July.

The series will wrap up on August 12th with a soul and funk themed bill led by the mighty Lee Fields & The Expressions. Nicknamed “Little JB” because of his vocal and physical resemblance to James Brown, Lee Fields has been a soul mainstay for nearly 50 years, and he’s still going strong, bringing deep down funk and soul to stages across the world. It’s going to be a soul explosion when he hits the Red Truck stage.

Each event will feature two stages for non-stop music, along with food trucks and free-flowing delicious craft beer. “The Truck Stop Concert Series is the highlight of our summer,” said Red Truck Brewing general manager Jim Dodds. “What could be better than throwing parties for thousands of thirsty music fans at our East Vancouver home?”

This year’s headliners will be supported by great local and Canadian talent and each show also has one opening slot reserved for the winner of the Artist Submission contest. Unsigned local acts can submit their demos for a chance to be part of the bill and show off their music in front of 1,500 music fans.

General admission tickets are $35 for each show and go on sale at 10am on April 21st. Red Truck offers two ways to beat the traffic with $75 transferrable Tailgate Passes that are good for admission to all three shows, and $25 Early Bird single show tickets available from 10am April 18th until 10am on April 21st to truckers who’ve signed up for express concert news delivery. Beer tickets are also available for purchase online before show day to make sure that you’re always in the fast lane at the beer tent.

Music fans can get the most up to date concert line ups and ticket news at www.truckstopconcertseries.com and can sign up to be eligible for early bird tickets at http://bit.ly/TruckStopSeriesSignUp.

About Red Truck

4443921438_794e3728aa_o

Red Truck Beer is built on the values of a simpler time when bars only served beer and whiskey, when trucks were working vehicles and not status symbols, and when business deals were sealed with a handshake and a toast.

The Red Truck Brewing Company has been one of the fastest growing breweries in BC over it’s 8 years in business. The  Red Truck Beer Company is  an operation that is focused of making and delivering the freshest beer available currently based in North Vancouver

About the only thing we like more than making beer and enjoying it ourselves is sharing it with those who appreciate the difference that comes with being delivered fresh. Our brewing team has been painstakingly brewing delicious Red Truck Lager and Ale and ‘Limited’ as slowly as they can, always maintaining the notion of quality over quantity. Fortunately for the Red Truck Beer Company, The brewing team has been doing a fantastic job. So good in fact, we have to move from our brewery in North Vancouver to new digs on East 1st Avenue – smack dab in the middle of the city in Brewery Creek.

Complete with a 50’s-style Truck Stop, Red Truck Beer Company will be packaging its fresh beer in bottles, cans, bombers, growlers and kegs from this home that is set to open in spring of 2014.

Unpasteurized

Pasteurization may be good for milk, but it’s bad for beer. That’s why we don’t ‘cook’ our beer to preserve it. Mostly because our beer was meant to be enjoyed today. And also, quite frankly, because it never gets a chance to stick around that long anyway.

Craft-brewed in Small Batches

We’re not a factory. We don’t crank out billions of bottles of our beer. We’ll take quality over quantity every day of the week. So if we ever happen to run out of your favourite kind of Red Truck beer, don’t worry. We’re brewing more as slowly as we can.

Red Truck is a member of CAMRA B.C, and proud sponsor of Slo Pitch For Kids/ Make A Wish, as well as the Underwear Affair. A supporter of all that is local, we are excited about our plans to move into our Brewery Creek facility and increasing our role in the community in Vancouver and beyond. Until then and forever forward, we will continue to take quality over quantity every single time.
