The GOODS from The Bottleneck
Vancouver, BC | The Bottleneck is a proud partner with Earthwise Society and we are excited to announce that we are now also an official pick-up location for CSA boxes. What’s a CSA box? CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. FarmFolk CityFolk describe it as a program of mutual commitment between a farm and a community of supporters. It links people directly with their source of food, providing them with the most fresh, sustainably produced food while giving farmers a source of income at their time of highest expense (early spring). Shareholders purchase a share in the season’s harvest and receive a weekly package of food.
In celebration of our collaboration with and commitment to these awesome organizations, we invite you to join us for a free event! Interested in organic agriculture? Want to support local farms, CSAs, and farm-to-fork restaurants? Feel like getting nerdy about the wonder of soil microbes? Or, just want to get a beer, talk with an awesome local farmer, and check out the delicious local Bottleneck menu?Join us for a happy hour with Isabelle Rodé, the not-for-profit farmer who grows the Bottleneck’s organic food! This is the time, and the place! Relax and chat, or participate in the formal Q & A session, and enjoy a celebration of the local. We’ll see you there! Wednesday, April 26th 5pm – 7pm.
