Vancouver, BC | Field & Social is looking to hire a restaurant manager. You are a natural leader, passionate about healthy food. Your responsibilities include managing front and back of house operations to hiring and mentoring team members. You are a problem-solver, skilled communicator, and strong with numbers.

Field & Social creates carefully crafted salads using only the freshest ingredients with local produce and seasonal inspiration in a quick service setting. We are dedicated to making healthy food choices delicious and easy. We specialize in salads and our menu uses local and seasonal ingredients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Proactively hiring, training, developing and retaining winning front and back of house teams for daily operations, catering, and special events
– Managing food cost, labor cost against targets
– Coordinating new menu development and costing
– Performing administrative duties including ordering, scheduling, and email correspondence
– Ensuring that food safety and security standards are met and adhered to consistently
– Responsible for presentation and cleanliness of shop
– Successfully and consistently communicating team wins, priorities, best practices and operational changes
– Contributing ideas, thoughts, and solutions that result in increased productivity, higher retention, and improved operations (taking initiative)
– Growing Sales
– Delivering outstanding customer service experiences in line with our brand philosophy and core values
– Responsible for A to Z in business and ability to jump in
– Understanding roles and maintaining fluidity between front and back of house

CANDIDATE PROFILE

– A can-do work ethic and the ability to take initiative
– Ability to deliver a consistently high quality product
– Ability to lead, motivate, and build an efficient team in a fast pace environment
– Positive attitude, service-oriented, flexible, with a high degree of integrity
– Strong communication skills
– Has an uncanny ability to remain focused and calm under pressure
– Understands the importance of and can execute on all food safety and sanitation protocols within the restaurant
– Never settles for what’s already been done, is innovative and creative with ideas, pitches in to get the job done
– Follows through on commitments, and asks for help when needed
– Asset to have a vehicle that can be used on behalf of company with re-imbursement, but must have a valid driver’s license
– 1-2 years managing daily operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment, commissary kitchen or catering business

Field & Social is a specialized and seasonal eatery focused solely on delivering well-balanced fresh salads.

Sparked by collaboration of four friends, Field & Social aspires to set the bar high, bringing new life to the downtown lunch scene. Inspired by a love of good food, design and travel, our goal is to offer the highest quality product while being deeply rooted in the community from working with up-and-coming chefs to local suppliers and partners.

The Food | A refined menu of eight carefully created salads, chef designed using only the freshest ingredients, with local produce with seasonal treats. Salads will include both leaf and grain based options, each with it’s own special something. To keep your warm during the colder months, alternating soups will be on offer. Finally, we couldn’t forget about the sweet tooths – guilt free treats, vegan, gluten and refined sugar free.

The Drinks | An assortment of refreshing cold beverages, including 05 Kombucha on tap and bottled, as well as a selection of ice teas and lemonades made in-house.
