Just a reminder that Vancouver Farmers Markets (VFM) opens its new Downtown Farmers Market today (Thursday, June 2) at Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza (650 Hamilton Street @ Georgia Street). We’re super stoked to check it out this afternoon. Get out their and show your support!

The Downtown Market is the new home of VFM’s popular Thursday Yaletown Farmers Market, and boasts the same great vendor line-up, hours and proximity to transit as its former location at 1200 Mainland Street. Opening day festivities at the market on Thursday include ribbon cutting and speeches with VFM Board Chair Carla Shore and Charles Gaultier, President & CEO of Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association. Representatives from Downtown Market Sponsor Bentall Kennedy will also be on hand to open the new location. Shoppers can enjoy a live set by Victoria and the Secrets from the balcony at Queen Elizabeth Theatre at 5pm, and free donuts, compliments of Cartems Donuterie.

WHEN: Thursday, June 2, 2016 2PM
WHERE: Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza | 650 Hamilton Street @ Georgia Street.
