The Better Of The Pair Of Gangster Booths At ‘Chambar’ Is #60

Many months ago we posted a reader’s poll listing what we considered to be the top five restaurant tables in Vancouver. We received so much in the way of reader feedback – both positive and negative that we’ve decided to shine a brighter light on the subject, one excellent table at a time.

Since it was voted by Scout readers to be the very best among our picks for the hardest/best tables to get in the city in a previous poll, we’d be woefully remiss if we didn’t actually get around to singling it out for this column. Table #60 at Chambar is one of two semi-circular, bright red Gangster Tables in the restaurant. The old location of Chambar had a pair of similarly plush, enveloping booths that were equally good (#40 and #80), but one – #60 – is better than the other at the new address on account of its orientation in the southeast corner, which affords a fine view of the entire length of the restaurant, all the way to the front door.

Seeing Everything From Lucky Taco’s Unique Table 31 In Kitsilano

When it’s not sunny or otherwise gorgeous out the action at Kitsilano’s Lucky Taco is anchored by the bar and the tables closest to it. When it’s nice out, however, it’s all about the patio. And yet neither of those sections of the restaurant – now enjoying its second summer – offers up the best seat in the house.
