Penticton, BC | Spring is here and we finally have our schedule for dinners ready! Tickets for our Alfresco Vineyard Dining at God’s Mountain Estate are now available for purchase here. Join us on Sundays for our Long Table Dinners celebrating a taste of the seasons, and on Thursdays for a Winemaker Dinner featuring some of the best pours (and people!) the Okanagan has to offer.

Feel like lingering after dinner? We encourage you to spoil yourselves and reserve a stay at God’s Mountain Estate. Sleep under the stars in the roofless room, enjoy sunsets over the lake, and hike the property to work up an appetite! Visit www.godsmountain.com for details.

With so many talented friends to work with in the valley, we’ve updated our Events page to announce the special collaborations we have planned throughout the 2016 season. We’re kicking off summer with some theme dinners in June starting with Jon and Anne Marie Croft of Codfathers, our most fabulous fresh fish and seafood purveyors. Join us June 5th for dinner featuring spot prawns, the West Coast’s own hyper-seasonal delicacy.

June 12th Super Farmer Jordan of Homestead Organic Farms in Peachland will help us host, sharing stories of veggies grown and prepared with care and love. Interested in all things Agriculture? Be sure to check out his podcast The Ruminant for earthly musings.

We are overjoyed that celebrated Vancouver/Okanagan artist and friend Bobbie Burgers has painted a stunning original piece for our 2016 card and poster. Capturing the undulating life of fresh cut flowers, Bobbie’s painting invokes the fleeting opulence of summer. It echoes the blooms that adorn our Vineyard table every week from our farmer florist Lisa Yang, who pops our Farmers’ Market with color each Saturday. If you would like to purchase a limited-edition archival quality print of our 2016 poster or any from past years, please visit our website.

We’re super proud that the Penticton Farmers’ Market has been named “2015 Market of the Year” by the British Columbia Association of Farmers’ Markets. Huge congrats to all the amazing folks involved and a reminder to visit us early this year – see you on Saturday April 23rd!

Hope to see you all soon to share another summer of sunshine & Okanagan bounty.

Team JRC.

Use your imagination – the potential for wine country cuisine is endless!

At Joy Road Catering, we proudly showcase the wealth of delicious food and wine options available in this region the best way we know how: creating unique dining experiences that feature premium seasonal ingredients.

“Joy Road Catering Smith and Ewart call their food cuisine du terroir, and with good reason. Tonight’s menu begins with home made bread made from organic Canadian wheat and antipasti, including local goat cheese and fresh figs- all of it washed down with Okanagan Blue Mountain Brut.” – Amy Rosen | The National Post

“If eating alfresco is the key- then the hottest dinner ticket all summer long was a seat at one of Cameron and Dana’s Sunday dinners on God’s Mountain…” – Rhonda May | City Food

“Cameron Smith and Dana Ewart are two enterprising Torontonians who used to work for uber chef Chris McDonald at the former Avalon restaurant. They were attracted to the nascent food and wine scene in the Okanagan and opened Joy Road Catering to showcase the area’s food and wine […] We attended a wine maker’s dinner at an eclectic inn called God’s Mountain Estate situated on a cliff overlooking Skaha Lake. Dana and Cam matched the exceptional but simple food with very credible wines from Wild Goose Winery.” – Lucy Waverman | The Globe & Mail
