‘Cityscape Showcase’ To Bring Music, Art, Good Vibes To The Drive, April 15th

Kick off your weekend with a night of local music, art, and inclusive vibes that benefits the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre. Head down to The Drive on April 15th for Cityscape Showcase, an all ages event put on by the team at CapLive. Expect a bar, door prizes, and a collection spot for clothing, linens, and other necessary donations for the DEWC (full wishlist items here). Grab a beer and sway along to the indie-rock vibes of Royal Oak and the breezy electric guitar riffs of Zane Barrat (video above), then take the party to the next  level with electronic mixes by local DJ ESC. Also check out Tina Yan’s beautiful oil paintings and Jordan Westre’s collages that mix vintage 50’s photography with modern day magazine prints. Think National Geographic, pornography, and acid-trip photos mixed into analog collage. Stay for the whole night or just stop by for a moment of your Friday night gallivant. Tickets are cheap and it’s all for a great cause.

7:00pm | Friday April 15th | Onlok Gallery (1636 Venable St.) | $15 All Ages | Tickets

Since a single person (and liver) can only handle so many beers and beer-drinking celebrations, some prioritizing is in order. Topping off our list of events is the imminent (and, in our opinion, non-negotiable) Vancouver Brewers Fest.
