Hip-Hop Themed Kebab Diner In Australia Would Fit In The Fraserhood

(via) “Biggie Smalls” is a wicked hot mess. The name is a reference to rap artist Notorious B.I.G. (r.i.p. Big Poppa); the look is straight out of a New York diner (circa The Fifth Element); the food is Middle Eastern; and the location is in Melbourne, Australia. Despite that seemingly discordant situation, it’s artfully conceived (by collaborative studio Techn? Architecture + Interior Design). The hip-hop blaring kebab joint looks like a delightful oddball, and we’re suckers for a diner aesthetic done well, as is the evident case here. We’d gladly take ours somewhere equally unlikely, like in the Fraserhood on the same block as the upcoming Bows & Arrows.
