(via) There’s just something irresistibly compelling about this aerial footage of thousands of sheep being herded in and out of paddocks in Rangitikei, New Zealand. The whirling organisation (by sheep dogs, no less) and quick passage of the living white dots totally satisfies — like watching matter diffuse from one vessel’s neck through to another’s in a Baraka trance. Maybe in the tug and whirl of animal chaos and synchronicity we recognise a reflection of our Skytrained selves being herded about on a Monday morning, our heels driven by dogs. Or maybe it’s just transfixing in its own right. Either way, we’d much prefer it with a Pink Floyd soundtrack…
