(via) Located high above the Aloft and Sheraton Hotels in Brooklyn is Kimoto, a Japanese-themed rooftop beer garden design by Isometric Studio. From the designers:
“We wanted to challenge stereotypes associated with the Asian restaurant and to create a casual setting where people could be themselves. We applied this thinking across a 4000 ft. interior space and outdoor terrace with 300 pieces of custom furniture, zen-style plants, and a flexible arrangement of space that accommodates small and large groups.”
It looks and feels like the sort of thing that would suit Vancouver perfectly, but as we’ve noted with regret on numerous occasions, this city isn’t big on rooftop patios. Still, a boy can dream. We’ll take ours above the Opus Hotel in Yaletown, because the city couldn’t say no to that twice, could they?
