The Gam Gallery has lined up not one but two exhibitions to check out this week. First up as you walk through the doors is the Gam’s annual pop-up show and sale, this year with a ceramics theme. Within you’ll find the stunning works of four talented local artists: Amelia Butcher, Sam Knopp, Linda Lewis and James Kemp.
Venture beyond the bright (and breakable) front room to the softer, darker back studio and check out Deep Think Thoughts, an exhibition of works by Seattle’s Lily Seika Jones. An illustrator with a penchant for fairytales and water colours, Jones’ style is narrative, with a Lemony Snicket sort of edge.
Both Ceramic Presents and Deep Think Thoughts have an opening reception tonight (Friday Nov 27th, 7-11pm). If you can’t make the opening be sure to drop in during regular gallery hours: Fri- Sat, 1-5pm until Dec. 19th.
