“Homo Sapiens” Print By Pellvetica – Hanging Now At Kafka’s On Main

homosapiens
Sandy and Steve Pell are the wife and hubby duo that make up Pellvetica. They identify as designers and artists, and concentrate on beautiful murals and graphic design projects, having worked with Hootsuite, Mobify, Allocadia and Skevik Skisin the past and had their murals featured worldwide in USA Today, Mashable, the Globe and Mail, Azure Magazine, and Tech City News.

If you’ve been to Kafka’s on Main Street over the past month, you’ve likely experienced their work first hand. For this exhibition called West Coast Wildlife, they created a body of completely new work in just a few weeks. This is an incredible feat given that they use both analogue and digital illustration methods in their processes, not to mention the fact that it was a collaborative effort. Good thing they love each other! In the spirit of the season, “Homo Sapiens” resonated with me. The detailed renderings are highlighted by hues and tones of purple and grey, with an alluring sense of warmth throughout. This piece is eerily affordable; just two $100 bills gets you a signed print – one of 24.
