The GOODS from Much & Little

Vancouver, BC | Much & Little unveils it’s lineup of emergent designers for fall, showcasing looks that are rich and varied. New shapes, new proportions and a mashup of colour, texture, and detail are all to be found, in genius wearable pieces. Owner/buyer Sarah Savoy buys for her boutique with a strong focus on natural textiles and dyes and her lines are primarily produced in North America.

Located in Main St’s independent shopping district, Much & Little is stocked with unique women’s apparel, home goods, accessories and gifts. The shop has become a go to for unique and artisan based goods and apparel. The fashion collections are more timeless then trendy, yet cool, and wearable. Savoy has selected pieces that can journey from day to evening with ease. Modern colours, volume driven silhouettes, and ‘borrowed from the boys’ pieces are common notes.

New to the designer lineup are Vancouver’s own Vestige an emerging brand offering innovative designs in premium fabrics meant to last the test of time. Their signature Lilium t-shirt in brushed cotton, is already becoming a cult favourite with it’s origami sleeve and adorable packaging (the tee comes in a bottle with an inspiring handwritten message). Also noteworthy from Vestige’s fall collection is their Dianthus Wool Coat featuring a soft forest green lambswool on one side and a military green waxed cotton canvas on the reverse side. This piece is perfect for BC Winters and can take you through any perceivable weather.

Also new to Much & Little is designer Miranda Bennett, who produces capsule collections of minimalist, season less apparel, featuring convertible designs and small batch, botanically dyed textiles. The Parsons educated designer embraces a philosophy that is based on thoughtful simplicity, emphasizing versatile shapes, embracing inspired by classical Grecian draping and high-end fabrications Dyed primarily with plant derived color such as wood fibers and indigo, our garments and textiles are cut from premium, natural fabrics.

And eco-friendly Delphine is back for another season, known for its dreamy cinematic aesthetic and deliriously comfortable styles, the brand has a huge following, Standout pieces from the line include the Mohair vest coat and swing coat.

Says Savoy “I am excited about our fall lineup. The silhouette we are excited about is volume driven with innovative draping and cuts. I have some cool menswear inspired pieces coming like the vest jacket. This is a key look for fall. Our focus is as always on lots of natural materials – cottons and wools will be strong players, as will silks.”

About Much & Little

8522680006_caa325732a_b
Much&Little opened its doors in October 2011. It grew from a desire to create a personal shopping experience that offers timeless, beautiful, well-made goods for everyday use. Each item has been hand picked not just for aesthetics and function, but also for the story behind it that creates lasting value. Where was it made, how and by whom? As much as possible, we seek out products that have been created with love and care, with attention to detail and craft.

Though the shop is modest in size, the selection is wide and encompasses everything from housewares, to personal accessories, to women’s clothing. Our goods come from all over – including local, independent designers, heritage brands and fair trade artisans.

For you, we hope this translates into something of value. Where items are of heirloom quality and timeless appeal. Where a seemingly humble object will be something you love to pick up and use each day, and the patina of use just makes it better.
