(via) We love the look of chef Javier Rodriguez’ El Papagayo restaurant in the heart of the Argentine city of Córdoba. The 105 ft long space is the width of an old world laneway, the sort common in the city’s namesake in Spain, because that’s exactly what it used to be. The tight confines – we’re talking less than 8 ft wide – are offset by a new glass roof that soars 23 feet above the sparsely appointed (but not inelegant) dining room, one side of which is concrete, the other weathered and worn 19th century brick — a tidy, uncluttered blend of old and new.
