Screen-Shot-2015-07-23-at-1.31

The GOODS from Bestie

Vancouver, BC | We need an experienced and mature cook to add to the team at Bestie! We are a busy little restaurant with a tight crew and close quarters where each member contributes to make something special happen with food, service and the overall experience.

Required duties will include keeping the kitchen running smoothly, creating specials, ordering, undertaking pickling and fermentation experiments, and working with the whole team to knock service out the park every day.

Applicants must have at least 2 years of solid kitchen experience, be passionate and, at times, nerdy about food. Work ethic, character, and positivity are things we value. Hard work will be required, duties will overlap, and a sense of humour will be necessary. We’d like someone who is eager to learn and take their skills and knowledge to a new level while taking pride in their role.

To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to hello [at] bestie.ca. We appreciate all applications but only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

ABOUT BESTIE

Bestie is a friendly little sausage and beer parlour in the heart of Vancouver’s Chinatown. Inspired by German street food, Bestie serves up a selection of finely crafted sausages, hand cut fries, tasty side salads, fresh baked pretzels, and Chinatown’s finest currywurst. We work with master butchers and urban farms, whole ingredients, and sustainably raised meats. We’ve got three curated taps of local beer, some odd German bottles, both colours of wine, and a storied selection of schnapps. Bestie is open for snappy lunches, friendly dinners, late night eats and thirsty visits anytime. Just look for the neon sausage.
